Based in Middleton, MA, Sokolov Systems LLC develops and supplies advanced power-electronics solutions for industrial motor control, with particular focus on wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies. Our work centers on high-efficiency variable-frequency drives, SiC and GaN power stages, and the associated control and protection systems required for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
Founder
Valeriy Sokolov is an electrical engineer specializing in power conversion and industrial drive systems. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), one of Ukraine’s leading technical universities with a long-standing tradition in electric power engineering and automation.
Following graduation, Mr. Sokolov worked extensively in the design and application of motor-drive inverters, focusing on efficiency optimization, thermal management, and the practical integration of emerging wide-bandgap devices. His experience spans both classical silicon-based topologies and the transition to silicon-carbide and gallium-nitride solutions for higher switching frequencies and improved system power density.
Sokolov Systems was established to translate this technical foundation into commercially available products and application support for industrial customers seeking measurable gains in energy efficiency, reliability, and form-factor reduction.
